  • Personal Use

The cards work well as guides for meditation on an image, perhaps one you have chosen that connects with you emotionally. Whether you’re in one place or on the move, you can take the card with you, using it as a means of processing particular thoughts and feelings, or equally as a subject for a mindfulness experience.

There may be more than one image that speaks to you, so take as many as you identify with. It’s good to make a note of what comes to mind as you take time to contemplate each chosen image.

    One to one encounter

There are times when we benefit from someone else helping us to express what’s going on in our lives and to explore the range of feelings that arise. The cards can be used in different ways for this purpose, as follows:

    • One of the pair lays down all twenty cards face up and you choose one, and they ask you why. There is often a deeper reason why you chose the picture you did, and this conversation gives you the opportunity to go deeper in an emotionally safe space.

    • Alternatively, a person who knows you holds the cards with the images hidden from you, and they choose one which they sense is right and show it to you. Take a little time to reflect on the image, asking them why they chose that one for you.

    Group activity

The pack of twenty pictures works well with a group of up to five people where they each choose four cards, laid out and placed face down.

Allow time for each person to absorb the images they chose, then invite individual feedback, opening it to the group to say what they see in the picture for that person.

Seemingly random, it’s fascinating to see how the pictures that each person chooses will reflect so often what’s going on in their own lives.

  • As we understand more about the relationship between our mind, heart and body, we recognise the importance of wholeness and wellbeing. A significant part of being and keeping well is the freedom and ability to communicate our emotions and to understand what hinders their natural processing. Self-expression is vital in regaining and maintaining a sense of stability and purpose, strengthening a fundamental belief in ourselves.

Well-being, in every sense, is at the heart of Art&Hope. We know that our art is able to relate to what we carry day to day and equally to the bigger issues we have to face, often on our own. Our pictures celebrate life itself, affirming natural abilities and inspiring courage to face the future. They will shine light in dark places, give you hope in the storm and reconnect you with your inner strength. Our pictures will continue to resonate with your heart, journeying with you anytime and anywhere to restore and energise your spirit of life.

  • Over many years we have found that our pictures speak to the spiritual side of ourselves in the search for meaning, true identity and a sense of destiny.

Feel free to contact us via our email for more information and training on how to use the pictures as a guide to exploring your unique spiritual journey.
